Great minds think alike, my dear - I was just writing about VK, too! And I'm in total agreement that the shrug is a highly stupid piece of clothing. Down with shrugs. Remember how they kind of tried to become fashionable for a few months one year when we were in college, but it was a total flop? Would they had died out for good then. I make exceptions only for those little button-up boob jackets everybody wore during the Regency era, as displayed in the BBC Pride & Predjudice miniseries, which I suppose were kin to the shrug. But even then, they only work with the empire waist gowns, and I doubt those will be coming back any time soon.
I was so disappointed with the IK too. I think shrugs are the new poncho which was the new novelty scarf. Plus I really don't think the world needs another strappy lacy tank top. I liked the cabled pullover in Premiere, but that was it!
Oh God, I shouldn't post this in public. I'm thrilled to find someone else who not only hates ponchos, but hates shrugs too. What ARE they thinking? That this is a faster knit? I can think of no rack in the known universe that is made more attractive in these knitted objects. Okay. Strike me dead now.
